"Congratulations! It is my pleasure to formally notify you of Passback’s acceptance as a member of the United Nations initiative Football for the Goals (FFTG). By joining FFTG, Passback commits to advocating for the achievement of and implementing policies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our team looks forward to collaborating with and supporting Come Out and Play! as it becomes a champion for sustainable development and human rights and drives positive change within the football community and beyond. With this letter, you will find a Certificate of Membership for your organization.

As a member of FFTG, Passback now has access to defined resources, content, and specialized expertise within the United Nations (UN), and the opportunity to collaborate, through this initiative, in convenings, discussions, and events alongside the FFTG membership of fellow football stakeholders.

To access content, we are pleased to provide a link to the FFTG Trello board. This visual management tool contains digital/social media assets and informational material for Come Out and Play! to share this news on your website and social media channels.

You will also find branding material that your organization is now authorized to use, including placing the FFTG logo on your website and in other contexts as outlined in the FFTG branding guidelines. Additional assets will continue to be added to the Trello board for use over time, including videos, brochures, newsletters, a list of experts, etc.

As an FFTG member, we ask you to please keep us informed of all your activities and best practices pertinent to the initiative. Additionally, and in the spirit of accountability towards the commitments to FFTG principles, we look forward to receiving a report after the first year of your membership to FFTG, highlighting your activities and policy updates that align with FFTG principles. The FFTG team is available to answer any questions during your preparation of such reports.

Welcome again to FFTG! Please do not hesitate to reach out to the FFTG team at FootballForTheGoals@un.org at any point in your membership should you have questions or require additional information. We look forward to working with Ryogoku Soccer Academy to achieve the future we want!

Best Regards,

Thank you Maher Nasser for accepting Passback as an official member of the United Nations’ Football for the Goals #FFTG ♻️⚽️. It is an honor to champion sustainable development and human rights through the power of sport. https://lnkd.in/guGQr2ET

Football is the world’s most popular sport, uniting over 4 billion fans and 250 million players across the globe. From dirt fields to stadiums, all you need is a ball and a space to play—making football the most accessible team sport on earth. 🌎

It’s also the most played—and most produced—team sport in the world. Every year, millions of ⚽️ football balls, cleats, jerseys, and shin guards are manufactured to meet the global demand. Soccer balls alone are produced in higher numbers than any other sports ball worldwide.

But that level of production also means more waste—and more opportunity. At Passback, we work to capture that gear, keep it in play, and get it into the hands of teams and players who need it most.

Focused on sustainable development goal 12, responsible consimption and production - Passback is creating a circular economy for sports gear so every kid can play.
